It may be two thirds the size of our much-loved Original 1227™, but our Original 1227™ Mini desk lamp is a smaller version of this iconic 1930s design.

The lamp comes with a colour-matched desk insert, inspired by original designs from the Anglepoise® archive. Our space saving desk insert has a cast iron body and plated steel fittings so that it can be securely hard-mounted to a desk.

The Original 1227™ Mini Collection is the smallest of the Original Range. Diminutive but not diminished, it is playful, versatile, classic and 100% authentic, boasting traditional chrome fittings, our traditional shade shape and plaques etched with the Anglepoise® logo.

The Designer

When automotive engineer, George Carwardine chanced upon a formula for a new kind of spring, he had created the blueprint for a groundbreaking articulated task lamp that could combine ultimate flexibility with perfect stability. Two years later the Original 1227™ was born.
